Adventure Races
Hosting a mud run, obstacle course, or polar plunge? BYLG works with event directors to include lifeguards in the safety and emergency response plan for adventure races with aquatic features.
Many obstacle adventure races have water features. The high rate of amateur participation, combined with the dark, dense, obscure water of many race obstacles, demands lifeguard supervision.
The overwhelming majority of adult rescues by lifeguards have occurred during adventure and mud races. Event directors enjoy peace of mind when obstacles are attended by skilled lifeguards.
